Dr. William C. Knowler
William C. Knowler, M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H.

Phoenix, AZ, USA
Dr. Knowler graduated with a B.A from the University of Iowa. He then went on to receive his M.D and M.P.H from Harvard University in 1973. Finally, he completed his education with a Ph.D also from Harvard University in 1980. Dr. Knowler has worked with the Pima Indians in Arizona since 1975. Currently, his interests focus on factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications, related obesity, diagnostic criteria, and statistical methods in genetic epidemiology.
