Biography

	Dr. Russell Brown Russell Brown PhD Candidate Physiology and Biophysics Dalhousie University Halifax, Nova Scotia Mr. Brown is a PhD candidate in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Dalhousie University in the lab of Drs. Michael Wilkinson and Ehud Ur. His research interests include the application of molecular biology to elucidate the roles of various brain-derived adipokines including leptin, resistin and fasting-induced adipose factor (FIAF). He has been the recipient of undergraduate IWK summer studentships that have led to the continuation in the lab of Drs. Wilkinson and Ur for advanced studies in this area. He is also a recipient of a Nova Scotia Health Research Funding (NSHRF) graduate studentship.
