Dr. María Teresa Martínez Larrad
Dr. María Teresa Martínez Larrad, PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University Complutense of Madrid.
Fields research: Pre-Diabetes, Molecular pathology of genetic syndromes with extreme insulin resistance (IR), Genetics of Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, Non HLA genes and Type 1 DM, Lipodystrophy and Insulin resistance in VIH/AIDS patients, Genetic epidemiology of the Insulin Resistance Syndrome. She has contributed to a study aimed to identify a new gene, named SUMO-4 in multiplex Type 1 families.
