Dr. Claude Bouchard
Dr. Claude Bouchard
Dr. Claude Bouchard is Director of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center and the George A. Bray Chair in Nutrition.
His research deals with the genetics of adaptation to exercise and the genetics of obesity.
He was recipient of the Willendorf Award from the International Association for the Study of Obesity, the Sandoz Award from the Canadian Atherosclerosis Society, the Albert Creff Award of the National Academy of Medicine of France, and a Honoris Causa Doctorate (Leuven).
He is a foreign member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium, a member of the Order of Canada, and President of the International Association for the Study of Obesity (2002-2006).
