Dr. Christian Weyer
Christian Weyer, M.D.
Dr. Weyer completed his medical education summa cum laude from the University of Düsseldorf Medical School in 1995, and from 2002-2004 completed the CREST program (Clinical Research Enhancement through Supplementary Training), an NIH-sponsored, 2-year UCSD graduate degree program leading to a Masters degree (MAS) in Advanced Clinical Research. He has also obtained diplomas from the German Academy of Nutritional Medicine (1997), the German Council of Sports Medicine (1997), and the German Society for the Prevention and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular Diseases (1996).
Dr. Weyer is currently appointed as the Director of Clinical Research at Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc., San Diego, CA, and WOC Research Scientist, Div. of Diabetes and Metabolism, VAMC Adjunct Associate Project Scientist, Department of Medicine, UCSD.
