	Dr. Bernt Lindahl CURRICULUM VITAE, BERNT LINDAHL, MD PhD Research Bernt Lindahl has a research profile within the fields of cardiovascular epidemiology and behavioural medicine. Major themes are causative mechanisms in cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes, primary prevention of type 2 diabetes and long-term health behaviour change. The majority of his papers has been based on data from the Northern Sweden MONICA project or the Västerbotten Intervention Programme (VIP). The research in behavioural medicine is in its essence interdisciplinary combining the research areas of medicine and behavioural sciences. Employment General Physician in 1986. Since 1987 Senior Consultant within the county of Västerbotten working with different aspects of prevention (primary and secondary). From 1997-2004 Medical Director at the Behavioural Medicine Clinic at the University Hospital of Northern Sweden. At present, Senior Consultant at the clinic and Associate Professor of Behavioral Medicine at Umeå University.
