Biography

	Dr. Amir Hanna Dr. Amir Hanna is Professor in the department of medicine at the University of Toronto; staff endocrinologist and deputy division head of endocrinology and metabolism at St. Micheal’s Hospital. A member of the national board of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA), Dr. Hanna is also chair of the CDA’s Clinical & Scientific Section and editor in chief of the CDA publication, Diabetes Dialogue. He is a member of the steering committee of the CDA clinical practice guidelines, and a member of the executive committee of the St. Micheal’s Hospital DCCP program. Dr. Hanna has a special interest in the treatment of Type 2 diabetes with oral hypoglycemic agents, and is involved in several clinical studies in Type 2 diabetes.
